At EmpowerMe, we want to arm your kids with the skills and confidence to use digital media in ways to improve rather than hinder their self-esteem and happiness. We teach your kids the dangers and pitfalls they may encounter in the digital world and how to deal with them, and provide you with tips on how to support your children and be their best ally. We also teach about positive online behavior and how to achieve balance, boundaries and healthy habits. The digital world is here to stay, and we won’t get far trying to avoid it.
A note from our founder
As a mother of two tweens suddenly navigating the cell phone and social media space, I quickly realized I needed help understanding the complexities our family was facing in the digital world. I wasn’t sure how to help my kids protect their mental health, digital footprints and social connections, how to keep them safe on all of the apps and how to model healthy habits. This topic consumed my conversations with other parents, and I realized that everyone feels like they’re flying blind in a world that changes by the minute.
EmpowerMe was born from my goal to do everything I can to set my children and my family up to make smart decisions online, to protect their mental and physical health and to help them thrive, now and in the future.
